Why
do we become bored with being children, are in a rush to grow up,
then long to be children again?
Why
do we lose our health to gain our wealth then lose our money to restore
our health?
Why
do we think so anxiously about the future that we forget the present- thus
living neither in the present or in the future?
Why
do we live as if we will never die, and then die as if we had never lived?
We should
learn that we cannot make people love us. What we can do is to allow ourselves
to be loved.
We should
learn that it is not what we have in our lives that is most valuable-
but who we have in our lives.
We should
learn that it is not good to compare ourselves to others; We will eventually
be judged individually on our own merits, not as a group on a comparison
basis.
We should
learn that a rich person is not a person who has the most, but is the person
who needs the least.
We should
learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in people
we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.
We should
learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.
We should
learn that there are people who love us dearly, but simply do not know
how to express or show their feelings.
We should
learn that money can buy everything but happiness.
We should
learn that it is not always enough to be forgiven by others, but
that we have to forgive ourselves.
People
will forget what you said.
People
will forget what you did.
But
people will never forget
The
way you made them feel.
